Welcome to our LEGO® Therapy Program!

Our therapy sessions are designed to help children develop vital social, communication, and motor skills through the engaging and creative medium of LEGO® bricks. Led by our experienced practitioners, Julie, and Phoebe we offer after-school programs that run in 6-week blocks, specifically tailored for primary school children aged 5-10 years in mainstream schools. We can also offer groups for Parents at our venues in Maidstone and Dorchester.

What is LEGO® Therapy?

LEGO® Therapy is a structured, play-based intervention where children come together each week for a 6-week course. The sessions include both freestyle and collaborative LEGO® building projects aimed at encouraging interactions among the children and fostering their problem-solving skills. During each session, children are assigned specific roles—Architect, Supplier, Builder, and Director—to work on shared projects, promoting teamwork and communication.

Benefits of LEGO® Therapy

  • Improving communication: The structured activities help children develop their vocabulary, grammatical skills, and ability to give and follow instructions (PositivePsychology.com) (SALT & Light).
  • Boosting confidence and self-esteem: Successfully completing projects in a supportive environment enhances children's self-worth (CPotential - We do).
  • Developing fine motor skills: Handling LEGO® bricks improves hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness (ASAT).
