Breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health in the transport industry

It is vitally important to address the increasingly worrying male suicide statistics. To do this successfully requires dealing with the problem directly, by engaging with groups of employees who are known to be a potential risk. R U OK is the campaign that has taken the initiative to work with both the transport and construction industries to provide support and training to employees and management.

Therapy Partners know that to succeed in this an area, there needs to be a change in attitude towards mental health on the part of the employer and employee, to overcome the stigma and negative perceptions associated with it.

There's been a lot of talk about taking action, there now needs to be action to get people talking!!
